I begin the story casually as..
Once upon a time there was a girl who was madly in love with herself that she couldn't see anyone else except herself. With gradual advent of time she came to know she was not an ordinary girl in any aspect. She had a good sense of humour and intelligence. Smart in her own way she became arrogant of herself. When something related to her was proved wrong she could hardly bear it.
Her father understood her really well. When he came to know about the empathy of her daughter he decided not to interfere and let her take her decisions oneself. The girl instead of understanding her father took him at liberty.
One day she was with her mom in kitchen and her mom was telling her about her own childhood days. All of a sudden the girl rose from her chair and flanged out of the kitchen. Her mother tried to confront her but she was not in the mood at all. Later she told her mom that she had a virtue of her being insulting her.
The arrogant behaviour of the girl was becoming so adamant that didn't even listen to her father now.
One day it was raining heavily downside and her father decided to talk to her. He insisted her to sit with him for a while, and, after a few arguments she agreed.
The very first thing that her father asked her was " Hey! How are you?" to which she replied "What do you mean by how i am, i am good, did u bother me to ask this!"
Her father knew this was not going to be easy but when he had ears to her answer he couldn't control himself but as important it was to tell her that she was doing wrong as was to do it calmly.
He settled himself and asked her again "How are you doing these days?"
Her reply was fierce now "Dad! I have important things to do!"
The conversation went as:
Dad: Daughter! Do you realise how much we love you ?
She: Yeah i do..cm on now dad i gotta go..
Dad: Do u really ?
She: Don't start it over again! Please!!
Dad: Can you give me your 10 Min's?
She: OK..whatever..
Dad: When you see rains what do u feel?
She:[angry] You know dad..i love rains..i love it when water drops fall on my face. I love being drenched in rains.
Dad: And what if it starts thundering aloud with it?
She: [calmly] I get scared dad. I can't handle loud noise. I get disturbed..!!
Dad: You get disturbed when its pitched and do you realise how much you are disturbing thyself going all this?
She: What do u mean?
Dad: When i asked you about yourself you could reply me with simple words but instead you were impatient and the second time i asked you, you answered arrogantly. Do u realise what you are doing?
She: [arrogant]What wrong did i say?
Dad: See the rains outside..the droplets sooths you with its tenderness and become harsh when they come along with noise. Think of the time when there will be no rains,,will that be OK with you?
She: No..i can't stand that!
Dad: Your behavior is just like these droplets. When you behave politely it sooths you and your surroundings and when it is composed with arrogance it becomes harsh. This harms not only your surroundings but also you yourself.
She:[Listens quietly]
Dad:[calmly] You might be thinking what loss you have incurred doing this..there is no harm at all. But its just we your parents who bear you. The day is not far when due to your behaviour you will be left alone and there will be no rains ever.
She:[surprised] Dad!
Dad: I mean it. I know you agree with me but won't admit so i leave this up to you,,with rains or without rains..your choice.
She: Can i go now?
Dad:Oh yes!You can of course.
She: Thanks!
When at night she was in her bed she realised the deep meaning of her dad's words. That night she changed her arrogance to attitude. Now she answers everyone politely keeping her attitude to herself.
The rain drops are still harsh but she is enjoying as much though.
